Yesterday my computer decided to throw a fit. I had GTA running, google chrome, and two excel worksheets up; nothing my computer hasn’t been able to handle before. I go to close out of GTA and it goes to a white screen, then a black one (my mouse disappears and my keyboard becomes unresponsive). I figure GTA is just having a moment but after a few minutes nothing happens so I went to restart my PC; that lead me to a “Your PC did not properly shut down”screen and I promptly clicked “restart”
That lead me to a black screen.
Restarted again, tried to have it self diagnose the issues, black screen
Tried to load a previous back up from May 31st, black screen
Tried to do a clean install of Windows 10, black screen
Disconnected my external HD, wiped Windows 10, tried to do a hard install via USB of Win8, got to about 15%, black screen.
Worth noting: My SSD has all the files for windows, the external HD has everything unimportant (games, music, work data, etc), I have been running Win 10 for at least a month with no issue.

Can you remove your GPU and try from the onboard graphics?

That is the next idea, but it won’t happen till the weekend unfortunately

Dead GPU. Gonna have to get a new one. If you game, I'd suggest the 1070.

We didn’t think of that. That blows if that’s the case...

Yeah, all the signs point to the GPU. Run with onboard graphics and see if the GPU shows up under Device Manager.
